What can I expect?
The Pump It Up building is a bright and colorful space where children play and celebrate every day. All Saints UMC services are a notch down from that—still bright and colorful while maintaining a respectful worship experience.
Are the worship services contemporary or traditional?
All Saints UMC worship services are a mix of United Methodist Church contemporary and traditional styles. You can expect handshakes and hugs, contemporary and traditional music, Bible readings, a message, and Communion. Feel free to raise your hands in praise—or not. There will not be smoke, bright flashing lights, and loud music.
What kind of music can we expect?
All services include an electric keyboard and a choir or soloist. Contemporary music includes a guitar player. There are no bands, electric guitars, or drums. However, don’t be surprised if occasionally those are offered during worship.
Can I join the choir or share my musical talent in a service?
Yes! Especially if you play an acoustic guitar. Speak with the choir director or pastors.
Is Communion served at every Sunday service?
Yes. All Saints worship services include a short Communion at the end of each service. The sharing of the sacrament of Communion is by intinction- you are given a piece of bread, then you dip the bread into a chalice of non-alcoholic grape juice. See Luke 22:14-20.
At All Saints UMC, the worship service and Communion table is open to all without condition. We extend the unconditional grace and love of God to all individuals, of any degree of faith or doubt, embodying a non-judgmental culture of grace and understanding, reflecting the essence of Jesus’ message of love and redemption.
How do people dress for worship services?
Dress up or be appropriately casual. Inappropriate, political, or offensive clothing is not conducive to an enjoyable worship experience.
Can I bring a beverage or food to the worship service?
Pump It Up does not allow any food or beverages in the space that is used for worship. You can enjoy drinks, snacks, and fellowship in the lobby.
Can I help set up and take down the worship space each week?
Absolutely! The set-up team meets at 8:00 am. Take-down begins immediately after the worship service ends.
